Botox is a purified botulinum toxin type A. RESULTS & MAINTENANCE
Most patients enjoy Botox results for 3–4 months. If you'd rather come in less often, Daxxify lasts about 6 months — and up to 9 for some patients — making it the longest-lasting FDA-approved neurotoxin. How long your results last also depends on your metabolism, the dose used, and how strong and active the treated muscles are. Many patients find that with regular treatment, the muscles gradually relax and results hold a little longer over time.
PREVENTATIVE BOTOX
"Preventative" or "baby" Botox uses lighter doses to relax expressive muscles before deep, etched lines have a chance to form. Because the wrinkles never get the daily repetition that sets them in, many younger patients can stay ahead of fine lines with smaller, less frequent treatments. It's a popular, conservative way to age gracefully — and Celeste will tell you honestly whether it makes sense for your skin, or whether you're better off waiting.
SAFETY
Botox is one of the most-studied aesthetic treatments in the world and has an excellent safety record when performed by a qualified provider. The most common side effects are mild and temporary: slight redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site, and occasionally a mild headache. Rarely, a temporary brow or eyelid droop can occur — almost always avoidable with precise, properly dosed injections, which is exactly why provider skill matters.
Botox isn't recommended if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain neuromuscular conditions, or have an allergy to its ingredients. We review your full health history at your consultation to confirm you're a good candidate before treating.

COMMON QUESTIONS
At Solas Health & Wellness, Botox is $10 per unit at 20 or more units, and $12 per unit under 20. By area, that's $200 for the forehead (20 units), $200 for frown lines (20 units), $240 for crow's feet (24 units), or $600 for all three upper-face areas (60 units). Daxxify, which lasts up to 6 months, is slightly less — $190 forehead, $190 frown lines, $228 crow's feet, or $550 for all three areas. We confirm your exact dose and price at your consultation before any injections.
It depends on the area and your muscle strength. As a general guide, the forehead takes about 10–20 units, frown lines (the "11s") about 20 units, and crow's feet about 12–24 units. A lip flip needs only 4–6 units. Celeste maps your dose to your anatomy at your consultation, so you only pay for what you need.
Most patients describe the injections as a quick pinch. We use fine-gauge needles and can apply a topical numbing cream if needed. Treatment is typically very well tolerated and completed in under 30 minutes.

Unlike Botox, it uses a novel peptide instead of human albumin, and it lasts significantly longer — typically 6 months, sometimes up to 9. It's ideal for patients who want fewer clinic visits. Both products relax the same muscles and produce natural-looking results.
Botox typically lasts 3–4 months. Daxxify typically lasts 6 months, with some patients maintaining results for up to 9 months. Longevity also depends on your metabolism, the dose used, and how active the treated muscles are. During your consultation, Celeste will recommend the best option based on your goals and lifestyle.
